I'm really enjoying it.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12019450793013285292noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8678838153767744099.post-7683412697474008582007-12-16T14:13:00.000-05:002007-12-16T14:13:00.000-05:00I think my husband asked the guard if the exhibit ...I think my husband asked the guard if the exhibit plans to tour and he told him that it wasn't, which is really too bad -- although we might have gotten a different response from someone on the executive or curatorial staff. It was so quiet in there, such a welcome change from the freneticism of the special exhibits at the Metropolitan Museum in NYC where people actually jostle each other for elbow space to get close enough to an object to truly enjoy it or read about it.

Many of the artifacts in the Boston exhibit seem to be on loan from various French musueums.

I think Sandra Gulland's Josephine novel is actually an entire trilogy, but I'm not certain. I read the first book, which I thought was terrifically written. I love historical fiction anyway, and this was very well done. I think you would enjoy it. I've never read any nonfiction bio of Josephine.Leslie Carrollhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12240911659194990447noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8678838153767744099.post-86936454536045965152007-12-16T13:57:00.000-05:002007-12-16T13:57:00.000-05:00I checked out the website and it looks like a grea...I checked out the website and it looks like a great exhibit. I don't think it is coming to LA :-(

Have you read "The Many Lives and Secret Sorrows of Josephine B" by Sandra Gulland? It's on my to be read list. I read a biography of Josephine and she had quite a life. I'm curious to see how the fictional version of it stacks up.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12019450793013285292noreply@blogger.com
